This is a great tried and tested activity to support learners with SEN who struggle with phonics. Seeing the letter shapes and having a visual of the picture and the whole word can often lead to great results. Laminate the word boards and the letters and allow learners to select the correct letters to match the word. A great first step in reading and writing for children working at P levels.
