The Solar for Schools app is FREE to download and GDPR compliant for schools.
It contains 5 learning journeys linked to the KS3 Science curriuculum:
- Solar Power
- Electricity
- Environment
- Energy
- Efficiciency
The app also contains the ‘panelizer’ which enables students to design a rooftop solar PV (photovoltaic) for any school in the country.
Science videos by the excellent Switch Energy Alliance are integrated into the app along with fun graphics, quizzes, and a point scoring reward system.
Developed with support from Innovate UK by an awarding winning Science teacher and Sustainbility Director, the app was created with independent learning in mind and reflects the UK National Curriculum. It is a fun revision aid your students will love.
Ask your IT lead to add it to the available revision apps on your school devices so that students can use it freely.
