  • Identifying similarities and differences between poems about place, home and identity

  • Exploring how Lemn Sissay presents pride for his region in ‘Anthem of the North’ and use this to inspire my own writing.

  • Formulating my own effective discussions on the topic.

  • Planning a poem about my own attitudes to home.

  • Writing my own poem that conveys my feelings towards my home.

  • Performing my poem with confidence and use different performance techniques to convey emotion.
