This lesson looks at collections and collectables, then at Pokemon cards. We use Pokemon cards to look at how translators change character names into different languages while still choosing an exciting and relevant name in the new target language. Students can then design their own Pokemon card in German, using German dictionaries and glossaries to choose a creative name and attack move.
