A high-quality resource to support Key Stage 1 Science. Pupils will find out about and compare a range of fabrics, their properties and uses through observation, discussion and performing simple scientific investigations. They will consolidate their learning through playing a team game and then use imagination and problem-solving skills to design a garment for the future. Fun, creative activities provide cross-curricula links to speaking and listening and Design & Technology.

This resource includes;

  • a lesson plan and Teacher’s Notes providing guidance for all activities
  • editable PowerPoint classroom slides
  • bespoke short films
  • editable worksheets

The resource also includes a brief introduction to the M&S Archive, explaining the function and purpose of an archive.
