This resource is a student work booklet on the Eastern Front and Russia’s exit from the First World War, including Paper 1 exam practice. Students judge the impact of the Eastern Front, explain the reasons for Russia’s defeat, and describe the key events that occurred. The booklet contains structured activities to build knowledge, analysis, and exam skills. Whilst designed for Cambridge IGCSE History (Depth Study A: The First World War, 1914–18), it is also suitable for other exam boards that cover the Eastern Front. The activities link directly to the Cambridge IGCSE History Coursebook, Second Edition, which students will need to use alongside the booklet.
Learning Outcomes:
- Judge the impact of the Eastern Front.
- Explain the defeat of Russia.
- Describe the events of the Eastern Front.
