This resource can be downloaded as a PowerPoint which includes a title page, contour drawing activity, use of grid method and inspiration from artist Chuck Close.

Students will learn skills such as use of colour, proportion, scale and cutting skills.

The title page is a collage activity, wherby students stick together different faces, they can then add a title that says Idenitity.

The contour drawing can be produced on tracing paper and uses ‘unkown faces’, this acitivity is filled using harmonious colours. The student can use A5 tracing paper which is paper clicked onto the ‘unkown face’.

The grid method to learn scale and proprtion, which leads into research on creating a patterened piece inspried by Chuck Close.
