A powerpoint presentation that covers the entire Learning and Cognition Context
It contains 90 slides - around 10-12 weeks worth of lessons!

In this context, there is a choice of cognitive processes to study, this resource concentrates on ‘Memory’.

Each section includes an inquiry question aligned with th IB model of teaching and learning, followed by the learning objectives from the Context and Content that will be covered. There are then a set of lessons to address the inquiry question and the section is finished off with some example exam questions. And if that wasn’t enough, I’ve included revision resources half way through and at the end of the Context as a bonus for you and a thank you for supporting my TES Shop

There are so many activities:

  • labeling diagrams of memory models
  • comparison tables
  • a version of Murdock/Glanzer and Cunitz’s Study for students to take part in
  • discussions and evaluations based on Concepts from the syllabus
  • references to real life examples and studies to support students in answering exam questions that call for these examples
  • QR codes to take students to websites to take part in activities to make classroom discussions relevant to the students in your class
  • videos to help introduce new ideas
  • dual coding icons that match all my other resources in this series to support student retention
  • knowledge organiser/key revision points
  • useful revision strategies and ideas
  • opportunity for students to see how well they can learn via observation and discussion of what factors from SLT may have prevented their success

This resources is designed to be used alongside a workbook that can support students with note effective note taking in class, whilst avoiding time wasted drawing diagrams and tables or trying to make work look visually appealing instead of focusing on the content. The workbook is also available in my shop with matching dual-coding to create a a full set set of resources ready to go for an introductory few lessons.

Also included are a couple of hand outs to reduce your planning work load.
