This resource is made up of 3 retrieval practice examples. I have tailored them for my Year 3/4 class for our Stone Age to Iron Age topic but they could be adapted for any history unit.

In this resource, there is:

• Remember It - Task: Write down some words under each heading that you associate with each period in the Stone Age. You could also draw images.
  You could think about the following things: tools, homes, food, and clothing. (the two headings are old Stone Age (paleolithic) and new Stone Age (neolithic).
• Picture Prompt - Task: The images show Stone Age cave paintings. What might these images tell us about life in the Stone Age? (there are 3 images of various Stone Age cave paintings).
• Picture Prompt 2 - Task: Explain how each image is connected to how people lived in the Bronze Age (4 images related to the Bronze Age - Bronze Smith, Bronze Age tools, Roundhouses, Ships in the Bronze Age)
