This is a scheme designed for year 9 embedding the creative writing skills needed for GCSE (knowledge organiser included too). It covers character, setting, language and structure and each lesson teaches punctuation with an accompanying starter worksheet (the full range of punctuation is covered). There is retrieval practice at the start of each lesson to so that prior learning is recapped. Each lesson has a homestudy task.
Some well known extracts are used to demonstrate particular aspects such as language, tension and suspense but I have written some creative writing models too. An assessment task is included as well as a feedback sheet. Many, many hours went into this! I hope you enjoy.
