- Word Association starter on German nationalism at the start and end of the nineteenth century.
- Source analysis task on the assassination of Tsar Alexander II.
- Discussion task on the consequences for Germany of the assassination and resulting pogroms in Poland.
- Pupils complete a table on the main causes of antisemitism; economic causes, cultural causes related to the arrival of Ostjuden, and intellectual related to the rise of Social Darwinism.
