Writing to argue KS3 English lesson that focuses on riots, rioting and examples such as the 2011 London riots around the death of Mark Duggan and the 2020 US riots around the death of George Floyd. Students look at the different perspectives around rioting, both for and against, and develop a deeper understanding of writing to argue language techniques to help improve their own nonfiction writing.
