To support all pupils, I have broken their writing tasks down and have guided them through a process of planning. At the first step, pupils need to identify which part of P.P.O.F the bullet points are referring to. Once they have done that, they need to translate the bullet point so they know what they are going to be writing about. The third step is where pupils use the P.P.OF table and spend five minutes planning their written response. I encourage them to write down anything they feel will support them answering the question, as long as it shows the correct element of P.P.OF. In class, once it has been planned out, pupils then create the piece of writing. I have only does this a handful of times with the current YR11s and am seeing progress each time we do it. I am hoping that once we guided this process together, pupils will be able to do it independently and will use it in their exams.
