Hi <br /> Thank you for your feedback. If you look at the information sheets attachment it very clearly explains how to take a parallax angle and explains all specification points up to level 8/A*. The students would not be expected to calculate their own parallax angle but if they were it is a simple angle measurement after monitoring the positions after 6 months against a fixed background of stars. This lesson was designed to model for the students and provide practice examples linking to science skills. The teacher is expected to have the subject knowledge.
