Our GCSE Drama Component 3 Bundle is a comprehensive breakdown of the Edexcel GCSE Drama Component 3 exam paper, inclusive of our bespoke Section A and Section B cheatsheets and a comprehensive visual aid which corresponds directly with the walkthrough of the exam paper and each cheatsheet too.

What’s included in this bundle?

This bundle supports educators as a one-stop space for all the writing requirements associated with this exam format. Whilst sample questions have been pulled from exam papers, there is no prescriptive text associated with this walkthrough which means it is open for adaptations accordingly.

• Section A Cheatsheet: structured to support all necessary writing for Section A (whether for performance, design or directing) and requires that all students complete the scaffolded breakdown even if they are already achieving well, ensuring that all weak links in the writing process are covered.
• Section B Cheatsheet: structured to support all necessary writing for Section B (live theatre evaluation) and reminds students that the 6 and 9 marker questions are often swapped between performance and design considerations, covering all bases.
• 35-slide walkthrough Powerpoint Presentation which follows the same structure as our cheatsheets whilst also leaving space for teachers to adapt and move content for their cohorts as they see fit. The presentation includes a Section A and B quickfire analysis, a breakdown of each style of question, how to plan out the question as well as multiple question samples. There are also pages of prompts for what might be considered in each section, ensuring lively discussion and classroom tasks can (and should) be embedded throughout the walkthrough.

Students working solidly within this structure from the end of Year 10 have improved by two grade boundaries on average.
