This is a fun end of the day activity which can be used for a whole class. The idea is that the children are given the two end words and have to work out which middle (or link) word connects both words to create a new word or phrase. For example: Cauliflower ? Ache

This activity encourages the children to think laterally and to draw on their general knowledge to solve the problems. To help you these clues have been written in alphabetical order. These problems are an ideal end of the day activity and can be written on the board or simply read out.
