Homework tasks for English KS3, all focused on Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan, in preparation for AQA English Literature Paper 1. Students are provided with six weeks’ worth of homework and given a choice of three differentiated task for each week. Topics included are: language analysis, structure, quotation analysis, character analysis, narrative hooks, creative writing and more.

Students explore Darren Shan’s Cirque du Freak and use their new knowledge to analyse key chapters from the English novel. Useful preparation for both GCSE English Literature exams, but designed for KS3 students. Includes relevant worksheets and examples as well.
