Students explore how the signal-man is developed as a character, how he is used to create mystery and a mysterious atmosphere, and how we can develop characters to produce mystery. Students create their own characters and explore narrative perspectives as well.

A useful lesson for both KS3 and GCSE English Literature and English Language students.
