Final Consonant Blends: Spelling Corrections Worksheets A-D

The sentences contain incorrect spellings of the final blends. Students read the simple sentences and correct the spelling by rewriting the word in the box above the word.

Optional: Laminate and cut apart the final consonant blends for practical activities with the worksheets A to D. If students need help in solving the correct final blends on the worksheets, you can display 2 or 3 cards and ask which one would be the correct ending for the word. See example preview.

Word Puzzles: three differentiated word puzzles.
• Easier puzzle: The beginning letter of each word is shown in the word puzzle grid. Students use the picture clues and words to fill in the boxes across the page to reveal the hidden word written downwards.

• Students unscramble the words in the box and then with the help of the pictures, write the words across the page to solve the word puzzle and find the hidden word which is written downwards.

• Students solve the puzzle by unscrambling the words and writing them across the page to reveal the hidden St Patrick’s word which is written downwards

  • You can print off A4 or US size worksheets.
