Confirmation bias is one of many psychological biases that affect us all. This listening lesson is based on a short animated video that explores this concept. The video explains how confirmation bias can affect our judgement and lead us into echo chambers, and how social media platforms take advantage and encourage this phenomenon.

Students will be introduced to new vocabulary in context and complete a listening test activity before engaging in a discussion task in which they use language to explain. Student will also develop their ability to talk about abstract topics and use language to explain in a discussion about the topics raised in the video.
