A selection of subtraction task cards with a Christmas theme. Each task card includes a different subtraction calculation. There is a number line underneath each calculation for children to use to help them work out the answer so no need to look out those number lines! There is also a response sheet for your kids to record their answer which can be easily photocopied depending on how many you need.

How to use this resource

This subtraction using a number line activity is perfect for either introducing subtraction to your students or to help them build their confidence at subtracting. Each task card features a different subtraction calculation as well as number line this means your children can use the number line on each task card to help them work out the answer meaning you don’t need to provide your students with seperate number lines!

These Christmas themed task cards are ideal for using with smaller groups or Math centers. To use them as a Math center just make a few copies of the response sheet then either laminate them or place them into a dry erase pocket. This means you can quickly whip out this activity whenever your class needs a bit more practise at subtraction and they can be used over and over again!
