How do you get students to improve their essay writing skills for AQA’s A Level Paper 2?
Exploring a model answer to a past question can be beneficial as students read a high quality response which matches the requirements of Assessement Objectives 3 and 4.
This resource is made up of 2 parts:

A model essay of 361 words (AQA’s guideline is around 300)

A set of essay exploration tasks where students have to identify specific language and features which match A03 and A04.
Once you completed the latter you could have a discussion about how else this essay could have been covered, and other type of complex language which could have been included.
Students can then have a go at writing and peer marking their essays.
