AQA English Language Paper 2 Q5/Section B lesson for the new 2026 questions - non-fiction lesson for English Language Paper 2. Students analyse how an example speech is structured and ordered to be most effective at meeting its purpose and engaging its audience.

Students use their notes on linking paragraphs and ideas together to plan out their own speech which they will then write out in the next lesson.

Students explore the mark scheme through accessibly symbols and dual coding that allows them to create success criteria for their own writing pieces.

Useful preparation for both Section A and Question 5 of GCSE English Language exams, and adaptable for KS3 students. Includes teacher and student notes as well as differentiated activities/adaptive learning strategies throughout.
