We explore the key skills needed to master Q4 in the exam, analysing two extracts on the theme of prison.
We explore Q4 and both sources, recapping the use of tone in both texts before using this as a springboard to analysing a student answer, focusing in on making comparisons, before students are given an opportunity to write out a draft answer.
This lesson will lead into further lessons about writing effective comparisons as part of a new unit of work/scheme of work that is being developed.
