A lesson as part of the Year 8 SOL which specifically looks at the different attempts of scientists to “save Antarctica” through the use of cloud seeding, artificial glaciers etc. Real emphasis on “evaluation” of the different proposed strategies and the importance of Antarctica for the whole planet.
The lesson is currently taught over 100 minutes but could easily be adapted to 60 minutes.
