An All About Me themed worksheet activity for primary pupils designed to help them write a simple poem using similes, while getting to know each other at the beginning of the school year or during a transition day.
Pupils use the template to write five similes to describe themselves, then draw a self-portrait or attach a photo to accompany their completed simile poem. It can be used as a fun creative getting-to-know-you activity to help your pupils settle into their new class and build new friendships.

Included in the resource:
sheet 1 - a colourful poster displaying the definition of a simile and a completed simile poem template, including lines such as ‘I am as busy as a bee’ and ‘I am bright like the sun’,
sheet 2 - an ‘All about Me Simile Poem’ template for pupils to complete with five similes about themselves and a self-portrait or photo.
