Listening Game – Positional Language and Speaking Skills

A fun and engaging listening game designed for one adult and up to six children, but equally effective for one-to-one interventions.

The adult reads a simple instruction aloud, and children place the object where they’ve been asked — supporting listening skills, understanding of positional language, and vocabulary development.

Example: “Put the cake on the alien’s mouth.”

This game has been successfully used with 4- and 5-year-olds, encouraging turn-taking, focus, and language development. Once children are familiar with the format, they can begin to create and give their own instructions to the group — promoting speaking and confidence.

Perfect for small group work, classroom carpet sessions, or targeted interventions.
