I can use a calendar to find and compare dates, count days and weeks, and work out how long events last.

A series of questions that will help children to build on their calendar skills. Children would need to have a 2025 calendar beside them to complete these.

  • Reading and interpreting a yearly calendar
  • Using a calendar to work out durations of events
  • Finding specific dates
  • Counting days and weeks

Could be used for paired work where children work together to discuss the questions.
Could be used as a rotation where each group has a coloured pen and answers the next question when they get to it.
A selection of the questions could be copied onto a document for children to answer and record individually.
Could be used to facilitate a teaching input with a large 2025 calendar on display
