First Aid Part 5: Life Support - New for the 2024/25 Academic Year!
This brand-new lesson is the fifth and final instalment of our progressive First Aid curriculum, which begins in Year 3 and continues through to Year 6.

Developed as part of our enhancement to the primary PSHE scheme of work, this lesson follows our Year 6 lesson on hazards and personal safety.
The lesson includes a starter activity, retrieval task, key terms introductions, a practical activity, a creative main task as well as an assessment-based plenary.

Primary PSHE - Year 6 - First Aid and Summer Safety Lesson Bundle This 4-week scheme of work is taken from the [ EC Publishing Primary PSHE scheme](/teaching-resource/primary-pshe-package-12645709). Our progressive curriculum builds sequentially year-on-year, culminating in the Year 6 First Aid and Summer Safety unit, which deepens students’ understanding of risk awareness, injury prevention, and emergency response. Students will explore key concepts such as sun safety, identifying and managing hazards in their local environment, and providing basic first aid for common injuries. They will develop the confidence to assess emergency situations, respond appropriately, and understand the importance of seeking help when needed.
