Textiles Cover Lesson- Design a POP ART trainer. The Right On! popular shoe brand, are launching a new trainer for the “yoof” market (13-18 year olds) (and Possibly Dads who still want to look cool), and they have asked YOU to come up with some new designs. The designs should have “Pop-art” theme.

These worksheets (x4 sides of A4) focus on the topic Natural Fibres - specifically focusing on the Physical and working characteristics of natural Fibres. Students will be presented with 4 tasks. These include: naming natural fibres, identifying and describing their physical and working characteristics, catagorizing the fibres using visual images e.g. tent, clothing, table cloth and tie; and answering exam style questions. The worksheets are tried and tested. They are fantastic delivered by a specialist or a cover teacher. The tasks are clear and include answers throughout. All that is needed is scissors and glue. A series of GCSE Textiles Technology worksheets that I created to support a year 11 class with their revision in the lead up to their exams. I tried to make the worksheets very user friendly and used the AQA revision guide alongside the creation of them (a great book to encourage learners to read as they revise).
