7 OAA tasks to be complete with a group and lesson plan. I used it with Year 8 and 9 but could be adapted for any year group. Includes, team building games, problem solving, orienteering etc. Task cards, overall score card and extension riddles. Bonus lesson thrown in. The main document is in task order so you can go through one at a time.

A 13-slide PowerPoint presentation which starts with a Do Now activity covering German topics covered so far. It starts with a short “hook” video about “Sommerrodeln” and asks students to form their opinion on it. There is then a match-up activity for adventure sports, like mountain biking, white water rafting, canoing etc. There is then a short explanation of the word “man” and “Man kann…” is introduced. Students are asked to form sentences using “man kann”. The four seasons are then introduced and students are asked to put these into more “man kann” sentences. It ends with a creative piece of work, in which students are invited to make a brochure for an adventure centre to practise the “man kann” sentences with adventure sports, plus their opinions. This is lesson 38 of many available for Year 7 (Y7) or first year German. Bundles available! The teacher delivering these activities must familiarise him/herself with the Outdoor Learning Cards prior to undertaking the lessons in this unit. The lessons here are pitched at an average ability level, but there may be requirements to adapt the lesson to different classes. The differentiation and progression sections on the O.L.C’s will aid in this process.
