Part 4 of 10 Students learn about the world music genre: Indonesian Gamelan Students will learn the history, culture, instrumentation and techniques of Indonesian Gamelan music while listening to pieces and learning how to perform a rhythmic piece using scales found in Gamelan. This resource is made on Microsoft PowerPoint and is a full scheme of work aimed at Key Stage 3 students studying World Music. When all ten parts are put together there is enough content to deliver of a full term (12-15 weeks) and it comes with a work booklet with questions the students need uncover the answers to. It is interactive and click-able with the aim being that students take their time working through it at their own pace so it is perfect for school teaching, homework, at-home learning and online teaching. There are audio clips, videos and information to uncover and practical tasks in the form of performances and compositions for students to complete. Cutting it down into smaller chunks also makes it easier to send to students at home who will need to open up the file as a PowerPoint Slide Show. This resource only operates at 100% accuracy with Microsoft PowerPoint. It will open on Google Slides but there is no guarantee of compatability.

A powerpoint to introduce words for chores in the home plus two fun things to do when you relax. The next section of the PPT explains adverbs of frequency. The PPT includes speaking activities and sentence building activities, as well as a link to a video if desired. I will also include a separate PPT to give to students if remote teaching with the activities only. 1 x vocab sheet for students to complete as they go through the new terms relating to chores in the PPT. 2 x “Boggle” worksheets with answers but each of these only has about four words - very hard to do Boggle in Indonesian! I based the PPT off other PPTs that I found on TES for other foreign languages. Thank you to other teachers for sharing their work!
