A French worksheet with brief information about 2 famous people, followed by sentences in French which pupils must complete themselves with details taken from the information above. Leads in to further work such as pupils creating their own sets of information plus sentences, or that of other famous people.

These are the 2 first lessons of the Module on Celebrity and culture for the new French GCSE - Les célébrités. It covers the question: Qui est ta célébrité préférée ?Who is your favourite famous person? The grammar is about job titles and adjectives changing in Masculine and Feminine. This is used with Year 9 French mixed ability students following a module about films. We use the EPI teacher method in our lessons to encourage fluency and confidence. I used the AI website Pixlr to create the images - some of which students found strange. Some activities overlap to adapt depending on the teaching groups.

Instructions: 1.students are grouped in teams of three and given one mini board per group; 2. under time constraints they must come up with one or more adjectives to describe the famous (dead) person on teach given slide; 3. One point is awarded to the best description; 5. Students cannot use the same adjective more than once; 6 The team with the highest score wins.
