This is the washing machine game - pupils make washing machine using a paper net. They have to work in teams to design, produce and sell their washing machines. The aim is to make the most profit. Pupils start with 15 counters, purchase equipment and sell washing machines for counters. This game wasn’t designed by me but I have adapted and put together the powerpoint using AI technology to talk you through playing this game successfully. An excellent end of term activity. Endless fun can take one hour, two hours even all day. Included: Detailed powerpoint and instructions Washing Machine Net (included on last slide of powerpoint) My children played this all day!

Working together in teams, students build a bridge using straws, paper and tape; by adding a budget it encourages students to use their enterprise skills and consider which materials are most important. Monopoly money is used to allow students to control their budget and a “shop†is opened where they can purchase resources. Towards the end of the session, the shop is closed and students are then allowed to “sell†their resources to each other.

Shows that in a series circuit as more bulbs are added bulbs become dimmer and that there is no effect in parallel circuits.
