Best used for Preschoolers or Reception children - this could be set as home learning over the half term break, or something to explore in class. Opportunities to identify shapes, explore numbers, order by size, as well was develop fine motor skills through cutting, sticking or colouring. Each can be used as a worksheet or can be laminated and used as a playdough mat (N/A page 6/7) Pumpkins are personalised ‘George’ but happy to personalise names on request Halloween/ Spooky season/ pumpkins/ spiders/ ghosts and ghouls/ name and number recognition

Initial Sounds Page 2-8 can be used by laminating the sheets and encouraging your pupils to put a peg on the initial sound. Or, you may want to encourage children to put a circle around the initial sound. For pages 9-15 the space under the image is blank - you may ask pupils to write the initial sound or have a go at writing the whole word. These flashcards follow many popular phonics schemes, such as Jolly Phonics, Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc etc.

7 pages per phase/ set of phonics Supports jolly phonics/ Read write inc/ little wondle Children should be encouraged to trace a word, then make that word with phonics stones, play-dough, or letter cubes, then find the image that matches the word, before writing the word 3 times independently. Each phase is a different colour for ease - beginning with simple CVC words, moving onto CVCC and CCVC words, ending with split digraphs.
