This is a play script for William Shakespeareβs A Midsummer Nightβs Dream, which has been rewritten to be suitable for ages 9 to 14. The script now also comes with a PDF teacher presentation to help you introduce the play and the characters to your students.
A Midsummer Nightβs Dream tells the story of four Athenian lovers who have a complicated yet dramatic love life. Lysander and Hermia loved each other and wished to be together. Helena loved Demetrius, but Demetrius loved Hermia, and Hermiaβs father wanted him to marry his daughter.
Hermia and Lysander decided to run off together into the woods. But the woods were haunted by the Fairy King and Queen - Oberon and Titania, and the Kingβs mischievous henchman, Puck. The play tells the magical story of the eventual coming together of the four lovers, and Duke Theseus and his bride, Hippolyta.

A funny play loosely based on the Grinch by Dr. Seuss, and the well known movie. The story revolves around the town of Whoville, where all the Whos love Christmas. In fact they love Christmas so much it is all they talk about!
However, a mysterious outcast lives to the North of the town; this outcast hates Christmas and anything to do with the festive time of year. This outcast is called the Grinch!
The play follows the story of Cindy-Lou and her family as they open up to the Grinch, and try to show him what Christmas is all about. However, the Grinch has his own plans to ruin Christmas for the town, and steals all the presents on Christmas eve.
He has a change of heart however when he hears the town enjoying Christmas even though he had stolen all of the presents. His heart grows and he quickly returns the gifts and takes part in all the festivities.
There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 28 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too for up to 30 students. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

The first play script is a funny play based on the Will Ferrell movie - Elf. The script follows the story line of the movie with Buddy the Elf being a human who is raised as an elf in the North Pole. Buddy finds out the truth and goes looking for his family who are not too receptive about his appearance or general behavior! But Buddy turns them all around before finally saving Christmas with his festive cheer! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. Thirdly, we have a play script for A Christmas Carol, however it is a modern remake that is based in a school - with the head teacher being Ebenezer Scrooge - you can change the names of the characters to teachers in your school, or to rhyme with teachers in your school as I did (if they have a sense of humour)! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too.

The activity is a perfect Christmas activity for students in Year 5 or Year 6. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. In the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work into a neat copy on the template provided.
A crossword puzzle and wordsearch activity is also included in the unit.

Two great activities that would span five lessons about the famous English playwright, William Shakespeare. Perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4.
NO PREP is needed!
Firstly, there is a reading comprehension activity where children need to read through an informational text, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity. Secondly, there is a biography writing unit which has been split into four separate lessons of reading, sorting and writing.

A play script for William Shakespeareβs Hamlet rewritten for students from third grade to seventh grade. The script now also comes with a PDF teacher presentation to help you introduce the play and the characters to your students.
Hamlet tells the story of a Prince whose father, the King, has just died. His fatherβs ghost visits him and tells him that the new King, Claudius β who has married his mother β was the killer.
Hamlet wants revenge and the story follows a bloody path in which he takes revenge but loses his own life, and the life of the woman he loves β Ophelia.

The first play script is a funny play based on the Will Ferrell movie - Elf. The script follows the story line of the movie with Buddy the Elf being a human who is raised as an elf in the North Pole. Buddy finds out the truth and goes looking for his family who are not too receptive about his appearance or general behavior! But Buddy turns them all around before finally saving Christmas with his festive cheer! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

Secondly, we have a funny play based on the Tim Allen movie - The Santa Clause. The script follows the movies story line of a man who accidently disrupts Santaβs deliveries and has to take over his route before finding his way to Santaβs work shop. He then slowly starts turning into Santa, which everybody else finds hard to believe! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

And finally a play script for A Christmas Carol; it is a traditional version that follows Ebenezer Scroogeβs hauntings through the night of Christmas Eve. There are song recommendations throughout the script and roles for 20-22 speaking parts.

Four William Shakespeare play scripts re-written to be suitable for young people aged between 9 and 14. All four have a mix of Shakespearean and more modern English. The play scripts are usually priced at Β£4.50 each.
The first is a play script for Hamlet. There are 15 speaking characters, with roles for up to 30 students. The second is for Macbeth. There are 18 speaking characters, with roles for up to 30 students. The third is A Midsummer Nightβs Dream. There are 26 speaking roles with parts for the whole class. And, the final one is for Richard III. There are 20 speaking characters, with roles for up to 30 students.
