This booklet includes 23 activities to encourage reading for pleasure . There are enough tasks to keep students engaged for a full day, or children could choose to complete their favourite activities for shorter sessions.

Students design their own bookshop. They are guided through choosing fiction and non-fiction books from a range of genres to sell. Other example tasks include researching which books are coming out soon, learning how to identify valuable books, writing short book reviews, choosing authors that could do book signings, producing training slideshows and drawing an aerial view of their store.

There are two versions of the booklet included so you can choose whether children record their answers within the booklet or separately. Children will need access to the internet to complete the tasks.
