In the second week of learning about money, Year 2 pupils will deepen their understanding by focusing on comparing and ordering amounts of money. They will use practical activities to apply their knowledge of pounds and pence, reinforcing their ability to count efficiently in steps of 2, 5, and 10.
Children will also solve real-world problems, such as calculating total costs and working out change. Adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated tasks will ensure all learners can engage with the content, whether working independently, with peers, or receiving targeted support. This week’s lessons aim to enhance fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive way.
