This engaging Year 3/4 English lesson pack focuses on simple, compound, and complex sentences, supporting pupils to improve the range and accuracy of their sentence structure in writing.

Overview:

• Lesson 1: Pupils use a picture stimulus to write a descriptive paragraph, exploring the use of sentence variety.
• Lesson 2: Pupils watch a short Aladdin film clip and create a storyboard using compound and complex sentences, supported by rich vocabulary and scaffolded resources.
