Relevant Grammar Points Covered:

  • Possessive pronouns (my, mine, his, her, their, our, its, your etc.)
  • Adding an ‘s’ to possessive pronouns when they are not followed by a noun (theirs, yours, its, hers, theirs) except for ‘his’ and when to change ‘my’ to ‘mine’
  • The difference between ‘is’ and ‘are’
  • Asking questions about ownership with ‘whose’
  • Possessive apostrophes used with proper nouns and common nouns
  • Asking and answering questions about ownership using ‘is’ or ‘are’ and ‘yes’ or ‘no’
  • Contractions (isn’t, aren’t)
