KS3 Anglo-Saxon History lesson designed for Year 7-9 students.

This lesson’s objective is for students to understand how the Anglo-Saxons came to live in Britain and what impact they had on the people that lived their, including understanding the concept of hierarchy.

This lesson tests a student’s ability to acquire research from different formats of information with engaging and interesting tasks. The lesson also teaches students how to analyse maps to discover why different Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms settled. Finally, the lesson provides the tools and research for students to understand the Feudal System that was introduced by the Anglo-Saxons and will ask them an extended writing question on this topic with scaffolding.
Complete with starter tasks and a plenary as well.
