Theme 2 on the AQA GCSE specification. Can be easily edited to the new AQA or Edexcel specification. Lesson on what one normally does to celebrate vs what one will do differently this time. All images removed so as to adhere to copyright laws. I suggest you add images to the choral repetition slide and the listening slide after that to help with duel coding.

• Clear demarkation of ‘I do’ ‘we do’ ‘you do’ tasks.
• Choral repetition with key structures and phrases.
• Easy listening task (letters and numbers) to increase student efficacy / sense of self mastery.
• A listening dictation based directly on the choral repetition task. Works as a scaffold for independent writing.
• Fun listening task ‘dernier survivant’ to engage all learners.
• A listening activity which is then used as a reading comprehension (two reading tasks) which is then used for indpendent writing, a translation and an independent writing task.
• Selective language very inclusive, includes foods eaten around the world.
