This presentation designed for potential use as a no preparation starter or a plenary activity in KS3/4 Geography. The presentation consists of 40 “challenges”. In each challenge the students are presented with a Geographical name, towns, countries, rivers etc and are asked to decide an anagram of a place/feature that fits the category. Each challenge includes an embedded timer set at between 10 and 20 seconds to ensure an element of competition. A “random question” generator ensures that students will have a different set of challenges each time the presentation is used. The presentation can be used in a number of ways, as a pen and paper exercise or as a teacher directed oral classroom whiteboard activity. The whole presentation consists of 82 slides with hyperlinks fully embedded throughout for ease of navigation.
