This 18-slide presentation offers opportunities for interactive discussion, while also presenting a simple, clear exposition on Kantian Ethics and Kant’s approach to lying. There is also brief mention of W.D. Ross’s exception/modification, and then a new and adapted version of Kant’s ethics based on Aquinas that offers a solution to the perceived rigidity of Kant’s approach.

This presentation keeps theory and complexity to a minimum to let students consider some key ethical principles and how they might apply to real situations.

Students are encouraged to think about their own beliefs and to apply these principles to their own examples. It can be used for most high school aged students from **years 9 - 12. **
