This Key Stage 3 comprehension activity introduces students to the Crusades in a clear and accessible way. Designed to support literacy and historical understanding, the resource consists of chunked text and comprehension tasks covering the background to the Crusades and an overview of the major events.
This is an ideal activity to introduce students to the Crusades, and can be done as an individual task or used as class reading/modelled literacy task for lower abilities. This would also work well as a ‘flipped learning’ homework activity.
