The Big6 Research Process is a structured method for teaching students how to effectively approach research projects. This resource is designed for library or ICT classes and includes an overview of each step in the Big6 model:
Task Definition – Understand the problem and define what information is needed.
Information Seeking Strategies – Identify and select the best sources of information.
Location and Access – Locate sources and find information within them.
Use of Information – Extract and evaluate relevant data.
Synthesis – Organize and present information clearly.
Evaluation – Reflect on both the process and the final product.
