The Accusing Voice synopsis:
Jury foreman Allan Defoe, has just given Richard Bland a death sentence. A few nights after the verdict, Allan hears a strange voice in his bedroom talking to him. The mysterious voice questions him about the Richard Bland case. Night after night, the voice returns. Allan’s servant, Manuel, cannot hear it. No one hears the voice except for Allan. Fearing that he is going insane, Allan takes a vacation on a cruise ship; hoping to calm his nerves. The voice returns and taunts Allan on the ship, telling him that the 11 jurors have either lost their minds or have died. What will Allan do? Is the voice a spectral being, or is it all in Allan’s mind? Did Allan condemn an innocent man to death? Find out in The Accusing Voice readers’ theatre unit!
