These Rise and Shine Feelings Worksheets for KS1 begin with a class or group discussion using a colour picture to prompt conversation.
Teachers ask simple, reflective questions such as “How do you feel today?” and “What made you smile this morning?” to encourage children to think about their emotions and share their thoughts in a safe, supportive environment.
After the discussion, children move on to individual work.
Sheet 1 invites them to read and answer questions about their own feelings, promoting self-awareness and emotional expression.
Sheet 2 allows children to draw a feelings face, tick how they feel today, and write a short sentence about why.
These worksheets link closely to the PSHE themes of Me, Ourselves, and Feelings, helping children to develop emotional literacy and empathy as part of their daily routine.
