As we noticed a lack of assessment by RWI to assess the childrens ability to read red words we have created a tool to do so.
This resource contains an excel spreadsheet, split into the groups and the red words within those. E.g a table for red group with space to put the children’s names down one side and the red words for that group across the top.
This resource also contains a paper copy of this, stating at the top what the tool is used for. After each paper copy, there are red word cards that can be printed, copied and cut up to send home with the children to practice the red words for their group.
