This KS1 and EYFS resource, A Pirate Treasure Hunt, includes 8 treasure map pages designed to spark imagination and support early literacy and geography skills.
The set contains 6 full-colour illustrated maps featuring pirate-themed landscapes, including volcanoes, huts, trails, and treasure spots.
Each map is paired with a title (A Pirate Adventure) and writing lines to encourage children to describe or invent a pirate story.
One semi-complete outline map invites children to add their own creative details and colour them in, while the final sheet offers a completely blank map for children to draw, label, and decorate their own pirate island. The resource supports storytelling, positional language, map-reading, and early writing development in a playful, imaginative context.
Included are some planning ideas for teachers, with objectives and instructions.
